Yup, I sentried him but then took it off. Doesn't matter, he is ALWAYS invisible in the NO region. He isn't inside the structure but the minute you click somewhere else he just vanishes.

Bug - loyalty

Might have already been brought up but in the Ledger under Loyalty it is using Rivers when determining lowest loyalty in the region. Seems that they are all Anti-CSA as well with their 0% Loyalty and all, lol ;-) Also, I posted another "bug" in the Technical forum regarding no force icon and the onl...

No Force Icon or Flag??

I will post a Screenshot to show what I mean. I have a force in NO but there is no way to see it or access it. I had to finally go to the ledger, find the General that is commanding them, click on it and it showed up. Right click on the map they disappear again. They are there but there is NO visual...

Even without ROE, I use assault command very, very rarely. If you get caught in a unexpected situation, the results can be disasterous. I have just started experimenting with ROE in the new patch but I suspect some of the options are for very special or rare situations. Very nice to have options bu...

Hello Everyone!

Missed being around. This Holiday season took more out of me than anticipated with the passing of my Grandfather at the ripe old age of 98. He lived a good, long life and we knew it was going to happen but had hoped he could have made it through one more Christmas with the family. God decided to tak...

Greatest Tragedy in AACW History - A Nation Mourns

I will post a detailed account of the disastrous campaign tomorrow since I am going to bed, to bummed to play out this turn tonight (plus it is 2 am and I have to be up in 5 hours when the kids get up :niark: ) The Obituary reads as follows, all KIA in Giles. John Schofield Abel Streight Jefferson C...

There seems to be a problem when two generals become eligible for promotion on the same turn. I try to promote both, but when the next turn comes only one has been promoted and the other gets passed over losing seniority and promotability. I was still running 1.07c when I saw these things happen, m...

For my French speaking friends

Any of you who can read these lines correctly you get a cookie. For you English speaking I would be surprised if you could read all these correctly the first time through each sentence. I almost managed to without changing the sentence after I read it initially but did get tongue twisted on a couple...

From the Wiki: http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/FAQ#Does_anyone_actually_know_how_the_Kentucky_secedes.3F I know for a fact as of patch 1.07h that all you have to do is accidentally besiege Lexington as the US and the whole damn state joins the CSA. I know this is old but I was reading in the last 1/4 of Volume 1 of Foote's novels and came across something. This is my option to go on the road: 1) Smith will arrive in winchester and capture it in 2 days by road. He will proceed to next town and he will reach it in the same amount of time (2 days...

John Sedgewick is supposed to appear in the game in July of 1862. Have you not played that far yet? For the leader mod, his war record seems to justify an earlier entry, which I will take a look at. When doing my scenario there is no Sedgwick in the database. Everywhere I have looked has it spelled...

Are these 2 Decatur in the same state ? Nope, different states. I just brought it up because the one to the east/northeast of Chattanooga didn't appear on the map in Foote's first novel or another map I ran across trying to find out. I am sure it is fine and maybe both maps I looked at just omitted...

Well, yes that does look like his hat. You can see the arch of the Seminary in that first picture. I wish that building were still there to see. Of course, as Foote points out, the Gettysburg address was a flop when it was first given. Lincoln's penchant for brevity was little appreciated at the ti...

John Sedgwick

I have ran into quite a few Brig. Gen. during my scenarios that aren't in the game but this one strikes me as odd the most since everything I have read made him seem to be a vital Corps Commander throughout the war: Sedgwick's Civil War assignments included: major, 1st Cavalry (since March 3, 1855);...

Picture of Lincoln at Gettysburg

While doing a Google search for civil war photographs I found this one at http://www.civilwarphotography.org/lincolngettysburg.html It's cool seeing images after reading about it in Foote's novels and getting the same image in your head as what really happened. Guess that is just a credit to his wri...

Anyone notice there are TWO Decatur's

In my current PBEM game I have taken a transport cruise down around towards Chattanooga and I passed by a Decaturville, then a Decatur and there is another Decatur if you follow the river around.

If it is already known, sorry. If not I will get a screenshot when I fire the game up shortly.

I use to think the same thing but have put a general with every unit no matter where stationed, starting with the more important locations first, and there isn't enough generals to go around. Changing Army name during game play and Army Commander?

Just to add a little authenticity to my Peninsula Campaign on the turn that March 14th takes place I want to change the CSA Army to the Army of Northern Virginia. To take it one step further I would like to add an event if possible that for every battle that Johnston is involved in he has the chance...

I'd like to know how to tell when a general has received enough 'congratulations!' points to be moved up to promotion seniority. A message in the log menu will inform you that the General can be promoted and you MUST promote him that turn or he loses a seniority level I believe. After you have been...

Seniority is 1 but can't promote?

I thought the requirements for promotion were 4 congratulations for action in the field or being seniority rank of 1? U.S. Grant got congratulated for his utter destruction of the army around Nashville and he is now seniority 1 and is promotable. Is that right? Did that change somewhere along the li...
