Are we by chance forgetting about the Horse Artillery that is with French Cavalry?

I know that an element can be a squadron or a regiment, but 43 elements still seems like a large amount of cavalry. At the very least that is what --11 regiments or 8000+ sabers. Maybe 2 Cavalry Corps worth?

For many of us, I can safely say that we just didn't know it was his dad that we were looking at.

Do you by chance have the real image of the correct black duke? Maybe a link for the team to use?

My 2 cents

I disagree with changing the battle graphic any further. I like it just the way it is. The sounds are great and they help me to "picture" in my mind what could be happening. At the operational/ strategic level that this game depicts, it is the result that I am mostly interested in. Not the tactical ...

Well let's gives things a chance. The game does have a small learning curve. Who wants to play against someone when they're not all the way up to speed with playing competently? The way I see it, the player that is the most prepared and wise will win. (Just like real life, I suppose.) My most recent...

Just wondering.

Likewise, Napoleon was not a dictator. He ran his nation just like any other monarch that was around. You can say otherwise, but it doesn't change a thing. Napoleon I was Emperor of France.

Any positive review of the game is greatly appreciated. :) Yet, one has to wonder about it after reading the very first sentence. Too bad the author has perpetuated the lie that Napoleon was a dictator. To be totally fair, Napoleon was no more of a dictator than any other monarch was at...

mennelikp, Perhaps you are confusing this game with Histwar: Le Grognards or some other game?? HW:LG will be a 3-D tactical level Napoleonic game. Napoleon's Campaigns is strategic/ operational level. With version 1.03, it does have a nice graphic that represents a battle ...

Has anyone else noticed that all the portraits in the 1808 (This is the only one I've checked) are messed up? None of the units match their portraits to what is shown on the map. Hmmm. A great amount of diagnosing seems necessary here. They will need a LOT more information in order to be able to he...

I think that SuperBob makes an excellent point, yet one has to consider the fact that weather and temps can be different at different times during a season. Also, temperatures can be different --in different places at the same time. 30 below what? Farenheit or Clesius? If it is Farenheit, consider t...

I'd say it is realistic and historical. In 1812, Davout's I Corps had as much as 17 or 20 battalions in a Division. Yet, I would say that Davout was pretty much the exception. Here is a very quick and rough overview: At Austerlitz the French had 9-10. Some Allied Division sized units had as many as ...
