Will the patch work with an existing/ongoing/saved Campaign?

First off, love the game Now my wish list I wish Army, Div, Eng, Med, Sig, etc...could be selected to be created in the East, West, or Trans Mississippi. I would like to see a more realistic RR movement time frames. Example...Two Generals (and staff) take 22 days by rail to move from Washington to C...

What I have been doing is build up RR, Industry, and Rivermarine. I send Lyon to take Jefferson City, MO. ASAP. The problem in the East is the senior leaders are horrible. I put the main Army of the Potomic in the Alexandria Manasas area to slowly buid it up. Remember, attacking Richmond releases RE...

Without doubt the most feared cavalry fighter of the war. Did not have the subtle information gathering skills of Stewart. Did not work well under the direct command of others (good ideas but had no tact...see Ft. Donaldson and later his dealings with Bragg), maybe he should not be alowed to stack w...

VERY Aggressive, certainly gifted. Not the greatest intelligence gatherer. He failed to gather the neccessary info before his foray to capture union positions during the seige of Richmond.

Deciever definately (Corinth). A pretty good manouver, his troops liked him very much. His mouth (or pen rather) got him into trouble when he didnt have a command. Did pretty well at Bull Run, kept his cool after ASJohnson was killed at Shiloh.

Saved the ANV at Antietem...Very aggressive and fast mover as a Division Commander.

Everybody is rough on him because of Gettysburg. He did some spectacular stuff and his information gathering was second to none. Lee dumped subordinates who didnt measure up...Stewart was not one of them. Load him with some good stats...he wasnt the only one overconfident during the Gettysburg campa...

I would say Lyon had great promise as a commander. He definately was a fighter. He singlehandedly kept Missouri in the Union. As far as splitting his forced to attack a larger force, another General, Robert E. Lee had a tendancy of doing much the same thing. I hope you guys give Lyon some good stats...

I have read the monster three times. I was ready to go a fourth time when I saw that it can be found as an audio book...I got it and I was really impressed. The first volume is about 36 hours long. Luckily I can listen to my trusty Creative Zen Plus at work. Great stuff.
