Hmm frankly im smelling Pax here...hate to say it, WW1 has alot of potential but is the code so borked its not a viable game? Sort of like PR? BTW PT I swore id never buy another one of your games after Pax, but I took a chance on ACW. Game was outstanding, as was the support, ou took a few steps ba...

Sadly ive shelved the game once again precisely because of this problem. Investing the time to run a campaign to conclusion isnt in the cards because of this problem. I hate to say it but as a number of others have said, this game was not even close to being ready for release. I salute the effort th...

Frankly I dont think anyone has played the game through with the latest patch? So id suggest doing so, a campaign game, and see how this pans out. As it is im personally delighted to see so much working in the game now, including this feature, which once again id suggest reserving judgement on until...

The Entente didnt need to blockade Italy physically. All they needed to do was maintain control of the choke points into the Med, IE, Gibraltar, and Suez canal. Further if Italy had access to closer supplies of materials it would no doubt have made efforts to secure said resources instead of bieng d...

Although I was really disappointed in some of the flaws in WW1, I never contemplated accepting the refund offer for one reason, and one reason only. I know the game will be fixed. This is frankly a reflection of my confidence in AGEOD, a confidence I rarely grant to any game company. The game itself...

Good catch! This is something that should have been fixed before game was released, it does frankly kill the game for me.

Also I strongly suggest that a more robust effort to beta test games in the future is effected, lest releases like this in future mar a stellar reputation.

You assertion that Improve wartime economy is working in reverse seems to be correct. I suspected this was the case as well when my munitions production nose dived. I asked here if the slider was broken as I recall, it now appears you are killing your munitions production by implimenting the IWP. Fr...

Munition Production Sliders Broken?

Hi,

In my current GC, I have only been able to move the slider for munitions production for the Russians. I cannot move it for France or for Great Britian or USA for that matter. Im assuming they are broken?

Welllllll I Dont Know About You All!

Addition-I finally figured out how to reassign units to different commands, left click the unit, then right click it, you should see a list of all the commands the unit can then potentially join. This one was driving me nuts! But...im enjoying the game. A few issues yet however, 1, some areas of map...

If you are referring to the HQ symbols you see to the left when you open the reinforcement box, those are your active HQs. Frankly ive yet to get a "reinforcement" HQ unit, playing GC at June 1915 now. Some appear buildable however.

Cost of Naval Operations!

BEWARE! Do not assume naval operations are free to run, they apparently cost EP. I was shocked to see I was in deficit spending for BG after running a slew of operations with the english fleet. Be nice to know what the costs are, also what are the consequences of deficit spending in game? Anyone?

If you are in the phase and the box has units to deploy, click on the unit and drag it to a HQ. Or you can drag it to the map. IF the HQ in question isnt full, allied 7 corp/ger 8 corp, I believe, the unit will be absorbed, if full you cant do it.

Anyone who cut thier teeth playing board games first before bieng exposed to computer gaming like myself will find the map orientation a non issue. Since you usually had to move around a map to get to all the counters...Terrible Swift Sword anyone?

At any rate heres looking foreward to the patch.

One note on the map, the left side dosnt clearly denote a artillery type unit. I was confused by this initally. The colour or graphic masks it.

Just a FYI on the map, there is a portion of France missing from my version of the game. It is a DL copy from Matrix. The "tile" missing is around Bordeaux area. managed also to fix some nasty bugs in battles (air, sieges in 4-player mode, naval)... herewith the current stage of patch:

This is good to see, because my current game is stuck with a freeze in four player mode, once a siege begins the game just freezes. I hope this fixes it.

Im installing it as I type. I have no doubt the game will be fixed and supported properly. It is without a doubt a very ambitious undertaking, and I personally have always looked foreward to a game with this scope covering the period in question.

At any rate im off to play!
