Re: Jean-Baptiste Lully - Armide, LWV 71, Passacaglia

Is this the War of Spanish Succession music topic ? :) In France, military music got developped under Louis XIV by composers like Lully, Philidor, Couperin or Charpentier. There are a lot of pieces well documented, but not so much are recorded under the Youtube. La Marche du régiment de Turenne by L...

Re: Danish Funds and Historical accuracy

Henry Bogdan (french historian) in La guerre de Trente Ans (Perrin), writes that Christian IV of Danemark was (as duke of Holstein) appointed President to the Lower Saxon Circle and charged of raising troops to defend it. He had full support of Brandenburg and Saxe-Weimar, received subsidies from En...

If you started life in French schools your ears are still ringing with "Nos ancestres, les Gaulois". This expression was in usage in 19th and early 20th century school books (Lavisse, Malet-Isaac), but it's not taught anymore in school. If you except its totally wrong assertion, as France is the pr...

Well to be sure of it, I launched the game, and it looks like this repeat bug is past history. Maybe due to patch 1.1 ? I loaded the Steam version with my mod. According to this site and the quoted historians, the picture was taken around 15 july 1863, a few days after Gettysburg, by Mathew Brady, and "were likely deserters captured well after the battle."

Hope this helps.

Yes, but it's digital music and IMVHO lacks of personnality compared to the most excellent historical soundtracks we can find in other Ageod games.

Trying to improve this, I have made a mod with instrumental pieces from the TYW century.
