Europa Universalis is 25 years old

Today it has been 25 years since the first EU boardgame appeared in shops in France. https://i.imgur.com/N1GRjT7.jpg A few months later it reached the other countries, before becoming almost 7 years later the computer game that we know (and which changed a lot since I adapted it for Target Games at ...

Should be in terms of IDs for units and models, but the values are quite different for some...so don't be surprised if things look a bit changed, especially on major aspects like battle and replacements.

Re: Ideas, suggestions & questions

Please do something about map icons ( overlays of the map). They are under all those general plates and are hardly (or completly not) visible. Maybe moving general's plates to right side of game would do the job (as in ACW1 game). Will check but it is not possible IMHO...ACW1 uses a different engin...

Yes do so, this is what the dev tested and they feel it gives more balanced results

It's too early to say and I don't have the figures. Will ask the team guys if they do. I guess that it will be more clear when/if the game is released on Steam. Cheers :indien:

Re: Second Post Release Patch

REPLACEMENT ISSUE FIX The team made extensive trials and Bohémond supplied us a potential fix to the replacement issue. Just copy paste the enclosed file in the Settings and see how it works. The main reason for the problem (which is NOT a bug) was that players did not have/keep enough assets to ens...

Re: Petersburg Event

Guys I have a felling that way that Petrsburg event is organised is bit to narrow. Russians to trigger all the effects of getting to the Baltics need to get one, very specific region. I would say that Petersburg effect should be given to Russians whenever they get any big Baltic city from Sweden. A...

Re: Second Post Release Patch

Well, the event description fails to mention that tiny detail regarding the year limit :D. Maybe the event should only become visible from 1710 onwards to avoid confusion? Well, this is again the same old story...some players complain that events should be ALL displayed before hand so that they can...

Re: Second Post Release Patch

Speaking of events, currently the death of Karl XII -event feels quite OP too. Firstly, why only Sweden (in GNW) has the chance to lose their monarch? Russia's Peter for example was really close to being captured by the Ottomans. I think that every monarch who is used as a general should suffer a s...

It's already in game: 1% per battle for 3***, 5% for 2** and 10% for 1*...this is rather more than a "small" chance especially for low-ranking officers :indien: :papy:

Re: Second Post Release Patch

I'm sorry, but the depleted force bug is still here. It's less serious, but still breaks the game. I post the save and script in another post As mentioned below by Vaalen, does the bug affects a NEW game, or is it still present in a save game. I fear that the patch won't work on a previously saved ...

OK, we shall rework the whole thing then...pre-patch situation (i.e. vanilla) was OK, right ? Please confirm :papy: If so, then something very weird went wrong inside the patch. I would then suggest you go back to vanilla and will double check with the team all changes made and see how this could ha...

Re: Oficial/next patch release date?

The team plans to finalize a patch over the weekend, but is waiting player's feedback on the already suggested changes. At least one Beta patch 0.2 will be done, and if everyone likes it will be turned to official. Among one of the changes being tested now is the increase in damages, as most players...

Re: Please read and review

With only one turn save it is impossible to find what has happened with the Bourbon morale... it looks like there was a symetrical change (the GAL NM is way too high) and the balancing mechanism looks working but is not sufficient to catch up (yet). The real damage looks like the maintenance issue. ...

I made my own try with a different cost for replacements (much lower), to see if this alleviates the situation.

Can you try it and see if it is getting better for you too :papy: :indien: (keep a back up of the old one :siffle: )
