As I still play it regularly, I would be very happy if someone decided one day to make a PC game out of the old "Vietnam" from Victory Games. Best war game ever IMHO. :)

Must say I ain't to happy either. For quite some time I was a staunch supporter of Paradox, but the past few years I became very dissatisfied and very reluctant to buy any of their products... On the other hand, if Ageod can continue to be run separately at its current level of quality this could b...

USA oppponent wanted

After a long period of inactivity due to work reason, I am willing to pick the game up again. Is there a medium skill player willing to play a 1861 Campaign?
I can usually play 1 or 2 turns a day.

Regards.

Thanks a lot. Therefore I will probably never buy them, because at the moment the chances of capturing a city in Kentucky are very slim. That's a pity though.

Reinforcements question.

Hi, I have a question for the more experienced players. I am currently playing a game as the CSA and i have no control on any city in Kentucky but I am able to recruit Kentucky troops. If I buy them, where will they appear on the map?. So far I refrained to buy them for fear of losing my investment....

ACW USA opponent wanted

Hi everyone, I have rediscovered this game after a while but this time I would like to try PBEM. Is there any USA player (not overly expert) that is willing to play the April '61 GC?
Cheers. :)

Missing free replacements.

In all my april 61 campaigns, either with the CSA or the USA, i noticed that i usually receive only the first set of free replacements no matter what i did. So i decided to look at the campaign file in the game folder and noticed that all the events had the same name so I edited the names of the sub...

I agree with the removal of HQs because, as of now, the AI is not able to organize its force. I also believe that while divisions should be free, Armies should cost a price to reflect the fact that they are a much more structured organization in need of more than just a few leaders. I would also lik...

What happened to the Army of the Tennessee?

With the last few patches i noticed that the CSA doesn't receive neither the free Army of the Tennesse with A.S.Johnson nor the free Div. HQ with Gen. Hardee. As i have not read anything in the patch readme is this situation correct? Thanks.

But if you, for whatever reason, have to move your units they will loose their entrenchement value while, with a fort, you can move units in and out of the region avoiding that.

I am also very interested in building forts as the CSA in a couple of strategic locations. Does anyone know if the arty units that you use to build a fort make any difference? Does a 6 pounder have the same effect of a columbine? That is importatnt to know because if it doesn't make any difference i...

I have the same problem with the Army picture. Also i noticed that gen Hardee arrives without the division Hq and Gen. A.S. Johnson arrives without the army Hq as it was before the patch. Is this intended? :hat:

I'm playing the '61 campaign as the CSA. I noticed that in the list for the CSA posted in this thread there are some free replacemets until early september but i usually receive only the ones scheduled for early may and none thereafter. Am i looking at it in the wrong way? Thanks a lot.

Hello everyone, this is my first post. After saying that the game is marvellous I would like to ask if, in order to recive replacements, the unit has to be inside the city or it could be also stationed in the region. I'm asking this because i don't like to leave big units inside a city where they ca...
