I noted, without going into detail, my disappointment in the review in the Wargamer Forums. 'tepid' to say the least and really not very substantive.

Well, this thread has already resolved the reported problem anyway. Yep, PG did some really innovative stuff with their engine. What had most impressed me and still does is the ability to command at any level (micro or macro manage) and depend on AI subordinates. It's quite obvious when you think a...

My pleasure. I sincerely appreciate the quality and innovation of your product along with the high degree of support you provide. Perhaps I should mention that I am in the systems industry for 20+ years and I have been beta-testing games for the last four years for Panther Games developers of RDOA/...

Thanks! I did just that after I read this. (i.e. got the first tape on the way for me to watch from a local library).

Not a book, but I was wondering if anyone saw or has the 30-DVD set of PBS production: Liberty! The American Revolution? Was it good?

Thanks

Comment and Questions on Unit's and Battle)

I've not noticed this mentioned, but I find the 'alt-tab' to the manual (if you have it up before you start the game) works wonderfully. The map stay's in the background and you can easily sift thru the manual. (btw, will the manual be automatically updated per patch download? Or will you annouce wh...

Thanks.

Number of troops in a Unit (so more green, larger the force). Not sure on the
'red' ones. They mention 'orange' ones pertaining to the type of order that has been given to the Unit.

Hmmm. Maybe this is the reason for my continual, fustrating problem I have about getting Units into structures. I run at 1280x1024. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I never (well I think I got it to do it twice in the over a dozen times I've tried), get the Unit's who are beseiging to enter a stru...

I sooo agree with Feltan on this. But I think why he's asking is that he plans to add this to some manual .pdf files and just want's them as correct as possible. But you are so right too, I'm lucky I get a sentence right myself!!

In second paragraph under 'Who Fight's': "The first armies to fight are the ones in Assault/Offensive, outside the structure. Auto-Save 'off' & etc.

Is there some place to turn off auto-save? I saved a game and went back to grab it (and for some reason it wasn't there), and saw 14 saves ranging from the tutorial ones to the game ones I was playing (1876 Carolinas). All I saw of these, in conjunction with the game I was playing was beginning of t...
