NM gain from winning battles

Hi everybody, I recently started playing WON (the last Ageod Steam-available title I have left to finish - apart from PON, but I'll tackle that beast when I have the time, probably not until I will be a pensioner...) so far very impressed, beautiful artwork and I love the historical period. Haven't ...

Game Crashing on Loading Screen - resolved

Hi guys, just thought I would share what helped me resolve a crash on loading screen that was driving me insane today. Apparently this game (as well as Civil War 2) for some reason crashes if the option to Initialize Textures is on. However, without being able to load the game it is impossible to ch...

Re: Emperor sends troops to Poland

Hi guys, many thanks for your replies. As I mentioned earlier, Mantuan war event was not an issue for me (a brand new army under a new general - his name was Gassler if I remember well - appeared in Mantua but this didn not affected my pre-existent forces). Durk - your suggestion to split armies is ...

Re: Emperor sends troops to Poland

Many thanks for your reply Durk! I have been a long time lurker in Ageod forums and your contribution to the community, with your enthusiasm, passion, competence and knowledge of the games, has been invaluable for my learning of the games (I have finished ROP, RUS, AJE, ACWII and TEAW so far and you...

Re: Emperor sends troops to Poland? WHY?

Dear Leibst, many thanks for your reply. No apologies needed, it is truly an amazing game once you get used to the very challenging supply system (especially when the campaign begins). Basically, what I learned is that it is very important to not build armies bigger than the local supply system can ...

Emperor sends troops to Poland

Was having a blast in the full campaign, when the Emperor decided to send both my biggest armies (Tilly and Wallenstein - plus Marradas for good measure) to Poland. They all got magically transferred there and vanished through starvation on the long trip back (for some reasons another separated stac...

Re: New to AGEOD games and ROP

shame Narwhal is not active anymore! he truly was a master of the game and I have learned a lot for yours/his AAR.
Yes I enjoy Gilmer's youtube playthorughs as well, they are excellent and very entertaining!

Re: New to AGEOD games and ROP

Hi! As a fellow Ageod novice I can feel your pain! However, with a bit of patience and practice (as well as with the help of the AARs mentioned by Loki above) I can now tackle the two Silesian wars & the Saxon invasion scenarios consistently well (Im now 30 turns into the Great Campaign). One of...

Re: Ledger Bug?

Gave it a go but I'm afraid it didn't work - not a big deal anyway, the F1, F2 and etc simply are juxtaposed to some of the text of the ledger (and dont disappear as in all my other AGEod games) when I open it but I can live with it, it doesn't detract from this fantastic game. Have a great weekend ...

Re: Fantastic Game!

Loki! yours & Narwhal AARs were like the Bible for me when I got into Ageod games! really without people like you making such an incredible effort to make them more accessible and easier to understand for newbies it would have taken me ages to learn how to play them! I still read them since - ga...

Re: Ledger Bug?

Hi! many thanks for your reply & your help. I checked and my screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 (recommended for windows 10) could that be the issue? I own all the Ageod games published on steam but have this issue only on RUS.
again - thanks for your help!

Ledger Bug?

Hi! just got into Ageod games a couple months a go and wow - I absolutely love them. Just a quick question regarding the Steam version of RUS. When opening the ledger, the function keys (F1, F2 etc) do not disappear therefore covering part of the text/images of the ledger, eg the name of the capital...

Fantastic Game!

Hi guys, just wanted to say thank you for this fantastic game! I got into Ageod with AJE a couple months back but then decided to purchase all the titles available on Steam and play them in chronoligical order. Being a big fan of Friederich the Great and a student of history, I am needless to say to...
