Im With you Flashman

I too have put off any more purchases from AGEOD due to the fact that PBEM.....is less than I had hoped. Seeing the HIGH STANDARDS the AGEOD team has set for the rest of its' game, I sure hope PBEM will be addressed soon.

My other point is that when you write in caps, it can easily be taken as shouting, and piling a few "rude" smileys on top of it strengthens that impression. I'll admit that the point was well-hidden, but that's what I have in return for trying to make light of it rather than spelling it out. The cr...

Inflation

Right - 31% inflation is not that high for Autumn of '62, if you've timed your purchases, used the money wisely, and have taken a few objectives. YOU GOT TO BE KIDD"N............WHAT DOES THE AI DO ??? MAX OUT ITS TAXES MONEY AND DRAFTS FROM THE WORD GO ??? If that is the case NO WONDER I HAVE A HA...

Re:fixed Units Release

Hey Well, Seeing that you are new to the game,Rafiki :innocent: :fleb: The tool tip will say something like UNIT PERMENANTLY FIXED unless attacked. (OH there I go again use'n CAPs :bonk: ) So, Back to my Question..WHY DID MY UNITS NOT RELEASE AFTER AN ATTACK ON THE REGION MY FIXED TROOP WERE IN ?? D...

FIXED unit RELEASE

Hey In my latest game theunion attacked Petersburg but my FIXED units did not release after...WHY ?? I had units in the AREA that battled. I have had the ENEMY SEIGE(sp) my towns before and my unit did not release. I figured they had to be ATTACKED. This time the UNION attacked units in the area. So...

Link/path

when the path appears, does it remains stable or is recalculated automatically within 10 seconds. If you save and reload, does the erroneous path is the same as before? If yes to both, can you send me the save? No. it does not recalculate on its own. I just cleared the path and retried the move. Th...

Not really the point

You always have the option to have the host be another player also. And you return the favor by hosting one of his game, etc. Well, that is not the point now is it? To do a work-around as stated above. And have both players take turns being in the DARK?? The real point here is that a Replay was Pos...

Link/Path wierdness 1.07b

I have V1.07b.....I have noticed several times that sometimes when I try to move a stack a long distance(rail) that the amount of time is sometimes off.. Example a move from DC to Ciro was only 8 days... the link went from a City in the NE(day 6 or 7) to Ciro Day 8. I just redid the move and the pat...

If you have an opponent you trust I really can't see a problem with PBEM. Well I think cheated is far too strong of a word. As long as the host has the "Focus on move" button set to off there is not much of a problem. I agree PBEM could be implemented better but I can say as a host of a PBEM game t...

Pbem-replay

Do PBEM'ers use a houserule that the hoster should not see the replay, in order to balance this? Well, the only house rule we had in the Game I JUST GOT MY BUTT handed to me in was 1) CAV could not move more than 1 hex into Enemy territory with out a Leader. 2) The Turn After any TROOPS or MONEY Wa...

NOT PLAY'N PBEM until a REPLAY works

Hey All I love this game..But the PBEM gives the advantage to the HOST big time. As the non-host you miss the Cav that moved by your troops. All I see once in awhile is a scorched earth symbol a broken Rail Icon or a report that I lost a city. :p leure: I have my Cav stationed like pickets but unles...

From reading Foote it also seems that the Rebs often had some warning when fleets left harbour with a sizable number of troops even if they did not know the destination. My blockade running policy is to build 12 frigates as soon as possible as well as basic transport ships. Then rush the Gulf Blockade box and overwhelm the one Union blockade flotilla there. Then the transport ships and their large transport capacities can start working. I can pull 150-200 supplies/...
