And, if so, can we apply 1.06 official on top of 1.06RC3?

Here's a start at a book list: If you only read one book about WW1 and what it means, read Paul Fussell's The Great War and Modern Memory . For a consideration of the long run-up to the war, Robert Massie's Dreadnought: Britain, Germany, and the Coming of the Great War is an excellent read. His foll...

<Bringing back an old thread> You guys make playing Sulla sound easy--that's not my experience! Possibly I'm doing something wrong, but I find it difficult to secure Greece as Sulla. I'm playing against Athena (Tribune difficulty with the usual moderate bonuses), and the sheer size of the Pontic arm...

Does this new patch actually update the Spartacus scenario? When I do a fresh game installation (from the Pre-Order version I bought before AJE was released) and apply 1.02b, all of the scenarios are updated with a June 2013 date, but Spartacus remains at September of 2012.

I'm Captain_Orso's opponent in that game, and you can see that the Union Corps at Fredericksburg is completely pocketed, and has been for many turns. That's the mystery: where is this Corps-sized Union force getting its supply when it is surrounded by enemy territory, and has been for months? If I u...

Strength reporting oddity?

I'm really enjoying AJE! However, I just saw something that struck me as weird. I'm not sure this is even a problem, but I'm reporting it in case it indicates something wrong. Open up the Marius vs Sulla scenario as Marius (Populares) and look at the "Italian Reserve" unit down at the boot hool of I...

Combat Mechanics Question

Here's something I've been meaning to ask for a while: We all know that a division can contain up to 18 elements. We also know (or at least I think I remember) that the elements in a single division will target the elements of a single enemy division. Does this mean that an 18-element division has a...

I think this idea has great potential! I like the idea of planning and playing a month at a time. One trick for keeping your recruitment organized is to purchase divisions from particular states. Buy the units for a full division all on the same turn and all from the same state, and don't buy any more units from that state until these are done. That way, as units get finished and come "on line" ...
