The national modifiers (beyond what you start with) can be purchased using engagement points on the degrees (F4) and Military Reforms (F3) pages. The enemy nation might offer your territories, but, generally the warscore has to be strongly in your favor. Certain events (beyond your control) sometime...
I was just thinking about a reserve cavalry corps...the whole concept is speed, much like Murat's corps...you want everything light...like horse artillery, a cavalry supply train...but what about the HQ itself, looking at the elements in that, they are slow.... So, I was thinking to just remove the ...
I had thought it would be nice to be able to see all the actual location names (not just the towns/forts), but you have to zoom in pretty tight, the size of area covered is relatively small..it would take a bucket load of shots. ;-(
I was just wondering, are there any particular tactical options that seem to work better than others, under different circumstances. Example, if you have roughly even forces, but you have more cav, does it make sense to try a flanking maneuver? Some obvious ones, more artillery, use massed batteries...
Next trick question, other than Napoleon and the Guard corp leader (can't remember name right now), are there other french leaders with the Commit Guard trait?
The suggestion has been made that the two player DLC be Multiplayer only. This is absolutely unacceptable to me. Many of us only play single player, and we should not be abandoned. I cannot believe that AGEOD would abandon us on this game, and on the coming DLC. Waiting for a further patch for sing...
I'm playing the steam version. As I'm playing, occasionally (it just started recently), I've been getting strange messages..They appear fast, but, it's something like "now playing NCP_whomever"...is that someone logging into some sort of online WoN game? And if there is an online game, how do I get ...
And when chosen as France, no "trained sharpshooter" units, IE rifles or some such, become available. Of course, it might be something that is available much later. For me, it's was offered in 1805, I took it, and nothing happened.
We were discussing the specific military reform "Trained Sharpshooters". It doesn't seem to work for the french, unless it's something that activates units later(much later) in the game.
Does anyone have a complete list of all the guard infantry units allowed for the french that are actually in the game, at this point, 1807, there are 3. The 1st Guards Division, which is a beast in and of itself. Available from 1805. The Italian guard, available from 1805. [AT...
Sometimes it seems to me, it's better for a group of individual brigades + a leader to stay as separate brigades, because certain leaders when given "divisional" command, their stats become terrible. Example; Broussier (5-3-2) plus 2 separate brigades =166 combat power. The downside is it costs 4 CP...
What structures are in the city are to the greatest extent consequential to building units. To know where you can build a unit, go into the unit pool with <F11>, select a unit, and note which regions on the map are highlighted (actually, all others will be darkened [low-lighted?] :neener: ). That's...
When you control-click on a city, and examining some of the facilities...it mentions Land/naval construction capability. How does that apply, since war supplies seem to be an entirely different thing?
All the work that seems to be going on, appears to apply to the beta project (or whatever it's called) and I'm wondering when some of these patches that improve the game and fixes bugs (and are stable), when will these be made "official" so that us steam players benefit also?
Just wondering, does possession (not outright owning) of an area gain any production for me? Example, I sit in Berlin for awhile...my MC is 100%, but, the loyalty is maybe 25-30, do I actually gain anything when it comes to resources...WS, pounds, horses...etc?
Ok, say as an example, you have 2 corps working in an area, and you detach several divisions to accomplish different objectives nearby...the only factor, as it applies to command is the location of the army itself? NOTE: I get the command radius of the army (and the hotkey), I was just thinking...si...
At the most basic level, the measures needed to find the enemy and make sure once you find them, you can keep track of them, would be easy. It boils down to detection and hide levels. A brigade of light cavalry that is nimble and has a patroller trait leader...should be able to sniff things out, rig...
What actually affects the command radius of an army commander? Just their personal stats/talents (historical), or do other factors like weather, location, supply, unit types...make a difference? The reason I ask, I'm really into creating armies with different HQ types, signals, balloons, etc...I kno...
I'm a strong believer in keeping up the momentum in a campaign, especially following up a big battle. In many cases, many leaders on the following turn, shift to a defensive posture (usually meaning inactive). So, what I do is grab the next best leader(s) that's active, form up adhoc units, usually ...
