Not a real expert but this is what I have learned. Build the killer stack. MTSG(move to the sound of guns) is not as important if you have a killer stack. The limit on the stack is command points. I think that is 25. To add more troops to a stack use divisions. Divisions cost less command points tha...

Naval modifiers

Playing as Spanish I get notified of a new naval modifier. I get all excited (because the Spanish Ship of the line has a power rating of 18 compared to a British frigate in the 40s). I go to apply/choose this new naval modifer and I can't find it. No matter how many times I press F3 its still not th...

I agree. I was new to this system and the learning curve was very steep. Most answers provide by users are no where in the manual. They were answered by players who can parse the files of the game.

Anyone know why there is a limit on the number of merchant fleets you can build? Playing as Spanish and I can't even build one more fleet.

Isn't there already an officer with the staffer trait in Murat's stack (ie Belliard I think). Those traits don't accumulate effect, so if you already have one staffer, it's enough. You bring up a good point here. I assumed that every staffer in the stack contributed to the command points. You are i...

Where is this talked about in the manual? I agree that there should be some practical limit to the size of a corps but shouldn't that be disclosed some where like maybe in appendix?

On a different note. Is it possible to just keep expanding french borders by offering peace terms that include taking territories. By doing this I would completely avoid having to deal with a minor country.

OK So I am now trying the game as somebody other than France. ie Spain. Its Army is really not in good shape. I have some options to choose one of them cost 1000 ep. but I have to wait until 1809. Will I be able to enact the reforms piece meal 50 ep at a time? I currently can enact a artillery refor...

It would be really nice to find those commanders that can lead foreign troops. This trait is really important for all those lovely artillery batterys that you capture during the game.

A stack commander with a good offensive or defensive rating will increase the frontage in battle--the room for troops to be in the front line in battle. This can allow a larger number of units to fight a smaller number of units, with very detrimental affects on the side with the lower frontage numb...

Soult is the overall commander of the battle and worth 6 in attack. 6*5 = 30%. Mack is on defense and worth 3 = 15%. Soult is compared to Mack and the 15% difference is added to the to hit roll. Joe is commander of the division and worth 4 on attack. Ralph is commander of the attacked division and ...

Well, there is a win condition in the game, which is to have 2.5 time as many VP as British. So occupy all of Great Britain if you can. Have you invaded or conquered Spain or Russia also, it will hasten much the process. If you just went to the throat, i.e only beating the British without occupying...

How do you get England to accept peace?

Ok, My enjoyment of this fairly entertaining game is diminishing rapidly. England has a morale of 0. My war score is 269. I offer peace that uses about 120 of this score. England will not accept peace. I think I have won the game but England will not give up. What am I doing wrong? As a side note th...
