Re: Landing Penalities Too Harsh?

In my very first PBEM game my opponent landed upon Memphis and bypassed all the forts on the Mississippi with Grant and the force was the same size as the entrenched force there = complete destruction for him. He wanted to quit and I talked him into continuing and he did the same move pretty much a...

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Never tought that it would emerge in to this massive discussion. But im reading and taking in the information everybody's saying. And there really seems to exists really different opinions about the balance of the game. Of course a game can't be and never will be 100% balanced how hard we and the de...

Re: Has the beta testing started?

Kinda figured that it had started. But thanks for confirming it to me, i was kind off walking in the dark haha. Yeah i know, i have had the privileges to be part in the beta testing of some of the recent release by AGEOD :) I was just kinda wondering, thinking of the time and all. And especially sin...

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

I'am much aware of the superiority of the Union contra CSA when it comes to resources. But it´s the Generals that im concerned about. Sure the Confederates have good Generals in the '61 start. But as the game progresses the Union gets ridiculously amount of Generals with traits to train Millita/Cons...

Re: Europa Universalis: Rome

I'm playing Europa Universalis: Rome. I was assuming this program should be the "Punic War" Game you sought here. It's not true: Europa Universalis: Rome goes not very far away from Europa Universalis III.......imagine this last one dressing a Roman Tunic. Guess there's space for an AGEOD...

Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Hi! In my personal opinion this game is still to unbalanced for the CSA in favor for the Union. The Union gets awesome generals with great stats, and traits. I mean CSA get Samuel Cooper for instance to train militia or whatever up to Infantry, while the Union gets like 3-4 Generals with the trait, ...

Has the beta testing started?

Hi!

I was just wondering if the beta testing for this game has started already?
Because i applied but i haven´t heard anything or gotten any mail or something like that.

So i take that as i wasn´t the ideal applicant, or that the beta testing hasn´t started yet?

Re: Wars of Succession reveals its main art and opens for Beta!

How come when i try to register for the beta the Matrix site won´t let me apply, asking me for the password, though i write in the right password it refuses to accept it.
Think it was a similar problem for me and other players with the title Thirty Years War.

Help required, war incoming! :dada:

Thanks for the tips on how to keep him. I think i will have him in Richmond at least to 66 i think. To have a little historian "authicity" :P But how is it with the traits and such? Because their is commanders i would like to add that aren´t in the game. And before all there is a bunch of ...

I know i read somewhere here on the forum on how to modify the leaders. Let´s say i want Samuel Cooper to stay in Richmond but not as a field commander but as a "Training HQ" And same with Braxton, William Halleck so on so on. Anyone wanna help a noob on this subject? It´s for the Confeder...

Re: Introductory AAR for Alea Iacta Est, Marius vs Sulla

Wouldn´t call the Caesar vs Pompey scenario boring. Perhaps if you play against the AI, but over PBEM and with a player who knows what he is doing that scenario can evolve in a interesting direction. People often complain that it is unbalanced and i can agree to a certain point. But if you are Pompe...

Year of the Four Emperors, To few Turns

Love playing this scenario as it offers so many strategies and options for the player. And i love to have multiple factions on the map than just standing fighting against one ex. Parthia. But isn´t the scenario a bit short? 25 turns to manage your corner of the Roman Empire, with all the rebellions ...

My take, hang in there. AGOED has supported AJE modules so well. Even this week a new update. This excellent game will continue to have support, my view. I really hope so, it would be a shame if this falls in the shadows. Think AJE on the new WON engine, with the new graphics and everything. Would ...

Unfortunately I don't think so, which is quite a shame as the engine suits much better for the AJE-titles than all the new releases of AGEOD ... hmm really sad. I think the roman/ancient times unfortunaley is behind us now. AJE/BOR/HAN is one of the best games AGEOD has ever produced, especially af...

It is hard for me to choose. I also play only pbem, so this might limit my reply. Samnites and Mercenary War are quick but challenging. Punic war are tight. Marius v Sulla is very tight. Not exactly sure what you mean by a motivation, but I have not encountered an AJE scenario which did not play hi...

Sorry, Temgesic , I didn't mean to blow off your suggestion. I think that if given Lee's military genius early on, in addition to all the other advantages the Union had, the war would have been much shorter and the outcome never remotely in doubt. I'm sure the talented folks at AGEod could produce ...

He ends up in Halleck's position, chained to a desk shuffling papers for the rest of the war. The field commanders are still crap, but they are now better coordinated so the war ends a year earlier. If he takes command of the Army of the Potomac, the war ends 2 years earlier. AGEod never publishes ...

Ahistorical Scenario, Lee Takes Command

Wouldn´t it be of great interest if the makers or someone would make an ahistorical scenario where Lee actual accepts President Lincolns proposal of leading the Army to quell the Southern Rebellion? Would certainly be an scenario which would be much interestingly :) What to the people think about th...

If i remember correctly they get it by events. But im pretty sure you should be able to recruit "Bruttian legion" or what they are called again. Think you need to own Croton and you will be able to recruit them. Not sure though since i haven´t played thte scenario in a while and am in a middle of ca...
