Re: See how many soldiers in an army...

Good to know - thanks. To me, counters always represented an "elegant", at a glance, interface element. Looking at Fury Software's projects, it seems that they have full Publisher backing to offer both sprites and counters as options. Players love options rather than being forced into nar...

Re: Objectives?!

Ah, ok i understand! Much interesting and providing information, my hat is off for that :cwboy: I'm at turn 47 now as Rome, i have created my first "Province" or what's it called ITALIA SUPERIOR. And now i have conquered Corsica and making my way to the border of Massilia. And im also abou...

Re: See how many soldiers in an army...

Yeah i know he answered this point in the other thread i made. And i know you have to prioritize certain things when you make something out of scratch. But however he said that if it's enough people who want that feature back, it might be put in to consideration. And of course i could do as you said...

Objectives?!

Im sure this question must have been approached earlier. But i have to ask, how does the AI/Game think about giving out Objectives? There is making no sense for me as Rome to conquer Massilia a few turns in the game? Shouldn't the objectives follow a little for historical/ahistorical approach. For e...

See how many soldiers in an army...

Hi! I was wondering if it possible in some way to mod in the amount of soldiers each unit holds. Just like in the good old AJE days. For me it gives a greatly enchanced experience of the game, as if tfeels that im moving an army as big as a city. There must be more out there who are thinking in the ...

Re: CSA leader tweaks 0.9 WIP

This is an exellence mod! And i hope you continue work with it. Me myself got a little irritated that Generals like McCulloch wasn´t promotable to a ** in the regular game, since he was about to be promoted that could have been in the game. You don´t see Stonewall disappear or lose ***-**-* stars be...

Re: Why remove soldier count?!

Ok! I certainly do understand when making a game, not talking about a whole new engine from scratch. Somethings must be prioritized before others. But basically you are saying the such a feature "could" be implemeted? Because i think i am not the only one out there that miss that little bu...

Re: Windows cannot find empires exe

I totally understand that you will have to prioritize, especially when making a whole new engine! :) And after playing a few rounds of FoG and compare it to I:R (which basically destroyed itself at release) it´s nothing to discuss about really. FoG:E is at the top of the mountain. You guys have done...

Why remove soldier count?!

As the question says, why have you removed the option of seeing how many men, horses etc you have in an army. From playing AJE, RUS,ROP and so on. It was SUCH an immersion to check how many men you had in your army. Is this something that you deliberatly removed or have you talked about implementing...

Re: FoG:Empires vs Imperator:Rome

Sorry it is not there, this feature you talk about. But you can check all units for your enemies now. So the feature to see how many men there is in an army is gone now? In AJE you hold CTRL and could see hwo many men, horses etc an army contained. Isnt that function there anymore? :/ Because that ...

Re: FoG:Empires vs Imperator:Rome

I am going to buy Empires as soon it´s release, which i hope will be soon ;) Right now there is a little rebellion going in the Imperator community, firstly that they released basically EU:Rome with better graphics. It´s just an empty shell as people above wrote. What people hade expected was, that ...

Re: FoG:Empires vs Imperator:Rome

Paradox became complacent with Imperator. It really offers nothing new in the way of mechanics or unique concepts. Empires shines in that it introduces some unique ways of modelling, for example, decadence and the rise and fall of kingdoms and empires. The level of historical detail and authenticit...

Re: FoG:Empires vs Imperator:Rome

I just finished ten hours with Imperator and I have gone back to playing Empires (beta tester). Paradox have missed the mark with this one. Imperator lacks the in-depth intrigue and skull-duggery of CKII and doesn't have the depth of EU4. It feels strangely flat. Empires is a much better game in al...

Septimius Severus Scenario Strategy?

Hi! Currently playing the "Septimius Severus" scenario that starts in 193 A.D I am Severus, holding the central Roman Empire, Greece, Thrace, Illyria etc. I was wondering what my best strategy is? Going after Didius (Purple) and try taking the whole of Italy while Clodius (Blue) is neutral...

Re: Noticed many leaders cant be promoted?

I understand what you mean. And Mcculloch was just an example, and if he personally lead a whole wing, why not keep him "promotable" if he is still alive. There are others both CSA & Union commanders that died early in the war that can be promoted to a 2-star or in some cases even 3-st...

How to get a new download for my copy?

Hi!

I bought this game a couple of years ago from a Swedish site. Now they can´t provide the download for me because they say the servers where the game was held is shut down.

So my question is simple, how do i get a game i have paid for?

Noticed many leaders cant be promoted?

I have noticed as of late after much playing that several of the leaders in the game and now im referring to both sides cannot be promoted as they where historically McCulloch for example, only a 1-star when he at least should be able to be promoted 2-star. I could really go on forever. Why is that?...

Re: What strategy would you propose? Late ´62

I would not promote them, they have better stats as 2 stars and should be Corp commanders under Lee anyway. Just be patient, at some point you will be able to force your way into DC. Athena often makes critical mistakes and sends troops away from DC inthese situations if you have some threat to the...

Re: What strategy would you propose? Late ´62

You might assemble the forces available in Leesburg and cross the Potomac into Montgomery, MD. The Union stacks don't seem to have a good commander among them. If they MTSG piecemeal, you might beat the whole lot and then march on D.C. Very interesting. I have over 10K, 2K but only 19 artillery und...

Re: What strategy would you propose? Late ´62

If D.C. is still the Union capital, then assemble your best force under Lee and take it. This crushes Union morale and should lead to ultimate victory. Screenshots are always interesting if you can get that to work. http://www.ageod-forum.com/download/file.php?id=26969 That my friend was a quick en...

What strategy would you propose? Late ´62

I have just gotten Lee unlocked. Maximum armies 6. Lots of leaders but few brigades to man them. I have manned the coast with some divisions, and entrenched New Orleans. I have pounded the Union pretty hard, taking Louisville KY and St. Louis, destroying a few armies in the process. Now i feel i am ...
