Re: Ageod Announces English Civil War!

The current AGEOD engine should work fine in recreating "this war without an enemy."

DlC?

To say that I am pleased with Civil War II would be an understatement. I didn't think it was possible to surpass Civil War I, but you gentlemen have managed it. I hope that DLC to purchase will be forthcoming. A few suggestions: 1. The Mexican War. 2. The war of liberation waged by Juarez against th...

Considering that the price of AJE was only $20.00 I have absolutely no problem with four new scenarios packaged as a separate game for the same price. As long as the product is of the same high quality as AJE it strikes me as a bargain. I am quite willing to pay a price point of $5.00 per scenario f...

A good starting point for research on scenarios would be the boardgame Imperium Romanum II, a strategic level game on the Roman Empire, that had 35 scenarios from the time of Caesar to Justinian.

I pre-ordered and I am very pleased at the artwork, and the accuracy of the historical setups. It appears to be a magnificent recreation of Roman warfare at a strategic scale, just the type of strategic masterpiece I have come to expect from AGEOD! (I wish we could play through the tutorial now, but...

It works fine with my Gamersgate version of the game. The patch is a vast improvement over the initial release, just the type of rapid response we have seen over the years from AGEOD in improving their games.

1.02 beta patch is out!

This is why I love AGEOD. They heard the requests of their fan base to release 1.02 as a beta patch and they complied. The level of contact and response between AGEOD and their customers is something that is sadly lacking with many other game companies. Bravo! http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/sho...

This game is a perfect melding of grand strategy and, with the battle scenarios, operational warfare. This is a serious simulation of the Victorian and early modern world set in a game package and it is a marvel to behold.

I find the game fairly complex and I am glad that I have the opportunity to learn the basics prior to plunging into the deep end on June 7th. I think this game will be getting a large proportion of my gaming time for the remainder of this year at the very least. In this game AGEOD has given us a sys...

Memorial Day Weekend and the Demo

Here in the US we are going into our three day Memorial Day weekend. This marks the unofficial start of summer here. Memorial Day is the day on which we remember our war dead. It certainly would be grand if the demo were to be released today so all we yanks would have three days to play it!

I have no problem with DLC in this game.

I am normally not a fan of the trend to downloadable content, thinking that too often it is a simple mechanism to make people pay for items that should have been included in the original purchase. However, I have no problem in regard to DLC in regard to this game, for the following reasons: 1. The p...

The map suggested correction is an example of why an early demo would be a good idea prior to release. AGEOD has a huge fan base, and I am sure that such a demo would be great way to receive useful input to work out any problems in the game prior to release.

Calvinus was good enough to e-mail me a copy back then. It was a fine game, and a good recreation of the boardgame on the computer.

Publication of sections is a good idea. If given a "beta" manual I would be happy to proofread and submit proposed corrections, changes and additions. I suspect quite a few other AGEOD fans would be happy to do the same. The patches by Calvinus are making the game stable, at least on all the systems...
