Re: WON Public Beta patch February 24th - 2017

Tried playing one of the "old" campaign games as the French and can't make any purchases of solders, ships, etc.

Display name for Borodino isn't correct.

Re: Ageod Announces English Civil War!

Good news for a little covered time period.

However, the other side of me wishes one of the current games is fixed so that it is playable. To me, as a solitaire player, Wars of Napoleon is completely unplayable in its current condition. I hope there is a fix in the works.

Re: Promotions

Well, I tried these things, and no luck. Started a new game, battled with Forrest to raise his seniority. Promoted him to 2 stars, battled some more. Got his seniority up to 1, can't promote. I tried it with his stats at 6 6 2 like baseline, no difference. Incidentally, I've adjusted RE Lee to 7-7-...

Re: My first AEGOD Game and game play settings.

My advice, don't over think the game. Just dive in and start playing. There were many games I started and learned a lot by just experimenting to see what would happen. Attack when I probably wouldn't normally, put ships where I might never have thought of, etc. just to see the results. I'd do invasi...

1. Maybe your dock workers went on strike is why it took longer. 2. Maybe your troops got lost and went down the wrong road initially. 3. Maybe those 6,000 partied the night before the battle and were drunk. 4. Maybe B knew of the attack before hand and came to the aid of A unexpectedly. Not trying ...

Re: Money Afloat

Yes the French player can still get money from trade areas. In the game I'm playing right now I don't have the French navy trying to contest the seas, but I immediately sent them to the trade areas. All naval resources go to various trade areas and are receiving trade. I do lose a lot of French ship...

I started out using the battle planner but with time I found it didn't add much to the game for me so I no longer use it.

Re: William T Sherman- The Most Overrated General of the Civil war?

Not everyone finds Lee, Jackson, Grant, or Forrest "great." Lee was good at retreating warfare. On the offensive he wasn't so great. Jackson was good as he was going up against some of the worst Union generals. Would he have done as well against the better Union generals that came along la...

Re: Using bad Union Generals

For "my" generals I typically keep the trainers in big cities and then I just assign all the rest to various units. I don't exclude them just because they are poor. I don't have much choice until better generals start to show up. Also, I'm not big on forming the "perfect" divisio...

CPU cores used?

I was noticing last night when I was playing Wars of Napoleon that it was using only 1 of the 8 cores on my computer.
Aren't Ageod games multi-threaded applications? Seems that if Ageod was to use all the cores on a computer it might perform faster.

Downloaded the fix, but the game is still unplayable, at least for me. What has happened is now the reaction to mouse input is extremely delayed or just doesn't happen. For example I can double click to my hearts content on say a unit for New York but the map takes "forever" (many many clicks) to g...

Great? Maybe. Greatest? Doubtful. I doubt any one general could have that title. One has to remember Jackson went up against the very poor generals that the Union had in the early years of the war. There were Union generals that could have potentially given Jackson a run for his money if he hadn't b...

One half of me told me to pounce on this offer, but the other made me feel guilty about doing it! I pounced as there were a couple I didn't have. One possible motivation of putting their products in a bundle is word of mouth. Even if one person, who bought it at a discount, persuades 2 other people...

I'm glad for the bundles. I'm a cheap cuss who would rather pay a couple dollars than $40 for a game.

Lots of game companies do the "bundles" so Slithering/Ageod/Matrix aren't the only ones. I try to buy my games in bundles as the price is so much better. However they typically aren't the latest and greatest, but pretty close.

Do you add French war ships to the locations of those merchants? I've done that and has some success at protecting them better. No. Spain and Britain just declared peace the prior turn. I didn't look at the screen before this turn so couldn't say if it was like this before then.
Also, England has no control on the Kingdom of Sicily either.
