Yes, I'm also going to duck into the bombproof on this one; my computer skills are pretty limited.

Is there anything else you'd like to see thrown into the pot?

We all Live in a Yellow Submarine

Light cruisers and destroyers can escort merchant ships and hunt U-boots.

What about torpedo boats? Are they of any use in undersea warfare?

Thanks for the kind words Grey Fox.

But, I must add that almost all the ideas worth reading in "Points" came from you and the old Narnians .

Re: Three Men in a Tub

I've been scratching my head and trying to come up with counters to the U-boat menace and a skillful Central Powers player who invested heavily into undersea boat production. This musing is far too late for my current pbem game where Austria-Hungry and Great Britain are racing to see who hits 100% r...

Where are the Yanks?

America entered the war several months ago, but all their forces still remain locked and nothing for the US has appeared in the build pool.

I have been receiving greatly increased manpower and money, but when do the Yanks enter stage right?

Three Men in a Tub

The bottom’s out of my tub; I’ve been playing a pbem game where Allied merchant shipping in the Atlantic has been wiped out twice by a skillful opponent using U-boats. This I did not foresee, and as merchant ships take 2/3 of a year to build, I had pull most of my transports from around the world an...

Many thanks.

Re: I'm about to give up on this game...please help

After many hours of trying to play this game, I'm wondering if it is worth it. My beefs: 1) . If the Germans choose the Moltke Plan, they can repel the French and British with a minimal force, throwing every man jack against the Russians. They don't sweat it in the least. 2). Much to my disappointm...

100 Years Ago Today

Gents,

On today, 100 years ago, in 1918, at the 11th month, 11th day, 11 minute, and 11 second, the guns fell silent on the Western front.

May they rest in peace.

[quote="Rod Smart" For every three experience stars, the strategic rating increases by 1. To a maximum of 6.[/quote] Are you sure Rod? I seen many a leader's attack and defensive values increase, or decrease in some cases. But, I don't recall a game where someones strategic rating increase...

Re: Confederate Inflation

Just as a side note,

Ageod's CW2 massively under represents the historical CSA's rate of inflation.

By the war's end, prices in the South had risen by over 9,000 percent.

Re: Confederate Inflation

However, I didn't get an answer to my question about the duration of the event. I was at about 13% I think. Will it go back to 13% after the event is done? I don't believe the inflation will reverse through the event ending. Your graybacks will remain locked into the higher rate. I think only bond ...

Re: Confederate Inflation

I'd say keep spending. Even in the best of times, there's never enough cash to fund the South's war effort.

Playing the CSA is like trying to hold back a flooding river by piling sandbags around the house.

If you don't have bags for the next inch of flood water ....

There’s a strong WW I feel to the combat system. It appears that Republicans suffer much heavier casualties then Nationalists in combat. Are these correct observations?
