Re: Shall I really left troops inside a City/Fortification?

Garrisoning inside a city or Fort with a small force is okay. (1-2units) It can slow down a larger army for a turn or so. But the idea is to relieve the besieged with another army. Placing large forces into a no escape siege situation is risky. In the winter trying to place your troops away from fro...

Re: What do you think of Grand Tactician: Civil War

I played it some. The AI isn’t perfect. CivilWar2 never had great AI so…….The tactical battles can be engaging. An experienced player will start to see shortcomings but they are still developing it. The economy aspect is pretty in depth. It still has some bugs. I think its worth buying and playing. ...

Re: Some Questions Playing the Union - 1861 Start

I think the fog of war being off might be screwing up the AI's detection. Try playing with it on and see if you get some better results. The AI will usually defend Richmond somewhat well in most of my games. At least not just let me march in without a battle or two.

Re: Some Questions Playing the Union - 1861 Start

I would support this endeavor with some cash or time. Whatever is needed. I am not a programmer but I can test mods, research unit names, etc. What about setting up a Discord server? This forum style is very dated and Discord is a much better way for rapid communication.

Do you think this mod would currently work for PBEM since the issue is getting Athena to buy the new units?

Re: Taxes, taxes, taxes...

I use the 3 income infusions as often as I can. I think the $cash is worth more than the 2 morale or 25 victory points in most cases. As far as the one that increases inflation by 4%.....I may delay that infusion until the other 2 options are available, as they lower inflation by 1% each. I try to k...

CW2 PBEM

I have been away from CW2 for about a year but have the bug to play this great game again. I am looking for a CW2 PBEM opponent. Full Campaign. Veteran Activation. Historical everything. I am willing to play either side. No house rules but I am not opposed to any. I consider myself an above average ...

Re: Rail lines

I tried this in a recent Pbem with limited success. How many elements does it take to guarantee the track will be torn up? I tried using 2 militia per track and only ripped up the track half the time. I did note that the track repaired itself in about a year. Was using militia the problem?

Re: My opponent is pissed (and i dont blame him)

Are you playing on Veteran Activation? If so I think the Union Corps commander never became active until the turn of the great battle. Gray Fox speculated that the military control kicked in and prompted the fight. I think this is the case also.

Re: Military Control

What level of activation are you using? If the General was not active I don’t think any battle can happen as he couldn’t change to orange/orange.
