Seems like you get experience more for attacking than defending, I have noticed that. It also seems that anytime I have lost a battle I do not gain experience, even if during the battle you cause a 2 to 1 loss ratio in your favor.

3 NM Victory Battle and Leaders gain no experience

I have asked this question before but not in this specific a manner. The screenshot shows the battle results of one of my current PBEM games. Longstreet was Corp commander(with stack), and PGT Beauregard was in region but not in stack when Longstreet's Corp was attacked. The Battle was a defensive v...

Downloaded and installed ok thanks. I must say I find it weird having several stacks showing exactly the same PWR being the total of the region rather than the stack themselves. It strikes me as a pretty weird change. In fact I think it is appalling. Can I change it? So there is no way to see each ...

I think the only way you could implement this type of system would be to have individual trains, or train asset units that you moved around the map? Might be interesting, also, with this type of thinking, you might even want to have certain trains that could be used as supply trains. I am not sure i...

First time that I had a 100% strength brigade destroyed in one attack. It was before division formations, I had Stonewall commanding the brigade, merged together, and two other brigades from the Army of Shenandoah with their leaders as well. Joseph E. Johnston was not with them however, so Jackson w...

LOST Stonewall Brigade in battle!! ouch!

In one of my PBEM games I am currently playing I made a mistake timing the arrival of two forces into a region. Stonewall and his brigade arrived first and attacked without any support from my other force and he was KILLED and his brigade was completely destroyed.... My question is will his ...

Fleet Blocking movement from off shore?

Not sure if this is a issue or if I just do not understand the blocking rules. Reaves Point with Union fleet apparently blocks Confederate land movement across Middle Cape Fear River. The Reaves Point region does not extend to the RR. The RR is crossing Middle Cape Fear River region. [ATTACH]26491[/...

I played several PBEM games not knowing this aspect, until just a couple of days ago. I was leaving my force at the supply source so they could get supply, when in fact they did not have to sit there for this extra turn. My opponent caught one of my Calvary forces doing this in Missouri and devastat...

We should be able to strip them and move them to where we want to move them to as the need arises. This is what happened during the war.

Completely agree with you both. The issue here is you have to plan a move based upon "faith" that your unit will be supplied once it moves. Also, units running out of supply that make it to a friendly town before the end of the turn, still show no supply at the beginning of the next turn. Also, if t...

Here are the battle report and the description of events for this encounter.

The failed to engage was apparently from Jeb's force which I had set to defend only and to avoid, as I was attempting to send them behind the enemy lines.

Thank you. It cost me, I was unable to hold my position there, he had a 2 to 1 ratio (with the 100%) and attacked and I retreated. Funny thing was when I went landed there the previous turn the swamp modifier was ~60% for offense. I will change my fonts now, thanks. I have noticed other issues on th...

Combat Experience Gain for Generals.

Playing as the CSA, I have noted on several occasions that after most of the battles that Generals do not receive any gain in experience(not talking about seniority). On some occasions these are very large battles involving over 20k on each side. I am curious as to what are the parameters for determ...

Industrialization is best.

To make the blockade runners you do have last longer, I advise that you set them to defend/retreat upon contact, and also the avoid setting. Since I have started doing that I rarely loose any whole ships or elements.

Vicksburg is a level 3 Port with a depot.

I have played an additional 2 turns leaving it there and it has not been reinforced to full strength.

Guess I will move it to a bigger port city like Memphis and see what happens.

Yes they have been expanded as Ol' Choctaw says, however in the beginning year there are still very few available.
