Transferring AACW to a new PC

AACW is installed on my old PC and I want to transfer it to my new one. Is there any way to find the serial number on my old PC? I downloaded and installed it over a year ago, and I do not seem to have any record of my serial number. Can I find it with regedit?
I still have the setup file.

I have not noticed that - I'll keep an eye out for it. I like the way that stacks are now named for any leader eg "Clinton's Army" etc - much better than all those Royal Expeditions. But naval squadrons are now also called armies, which is - apart from incorrect - making it difficult to know whether...

I'm getting a crash every time I reach the orders phase (British) on Turn 3 of the long 1775 scenario. I have sent the files to support.

How can i play this? :p leure:

I know there will be teething troubles - but this is frustrating.

I also know Ageod will fix it - as always. :hat:

What would really work for me would be on-screen buttons to replace E, R, T and Y. Everything else is onscreen and mouse-operated, why do we have to shuffle through our units with the keyboard?

AACW is one game you will NOT regret buying. Well, you might, but only if you dislike deep, historical games filled with excitement and strategic challenges. :p ouet:

This game is a geographical masterclass. I live in the UK, have visited America a number of times and have studied the ACW, but this game has helped me to understand the war and the country in new ways.

10/10!

Historicity is a big issue for me too. But one thing that AACW does so well is to allow you, from the starting point of whichever campaign you choose, to rewrite history but still retaining immense historicity. In AACW, no-one objects to being able to raise a particular regiment a year before it his...

Perhaps we could be offered a few choices at the start in the pre-campaign phase that would offer tough trade-offs. More poor quality infantry, delay an enermy corps movement by a turn, an extra high quality unit, extra ammo, etc.

We can either have exact or as exact as we can get them OOBs and stick to that no matter how short this games hard drive life? Or we can fudge a bit to give this game a bit more punch and it's hard drive life will increase exponentially. Nial For me, Nial is 100% correct. Accurate OOBs are great, a...

Well, you are lucky... one of the things I am working out right now is a longer/earlier 1805 campaign starting in the Spring where the French will be parted between two different strategic options and will have these kind of choices to do... :siffle: This is probably a good way to follow for the ti...

Dear Philippe I am delighted with the graphics and I understand that a bad diplomatic add-on would do you - and us - a great dis-service. Upon reflection, I now find myself in agreement with the above comments. Sad to say, I have stopped playing this game and gone back to ACW (still the best by far in this entire industry). NC just does not have the involvement that BoA and ACW have. There is little incentive to try again, to think up...

In the 80s OSG and Avalon Hill produced several games that covered separate campaigns of Napoleon. They were great at the time, and I really enjoyed them Napoleon's Campaigns offers similar fare for the 2st Century - individual campaigns rather than ahistorical "Let's all gang up against Austria" af...

Is it possible to give other nationalities their own force names in their own language.

Playing Waterloo as the Coalition, it looks very odd seeing that I command "Corps de Hill", "Corps de Uxbridge" etc. Very ahistorical.
