Turn 8 Results: Virginia: On day2, Lee decides to retreat southward, realizing the whole Union army is now at Petersburg and the CSA army is unable to resupply. It appears that by retreating out of the Petersburg region the CSA loses its military control of the region to the point that the CSA stack...

Turn 7 Comments: Call for Volunteers, Bonds. My replacements are gone, and the carnage has begun yet. We need lots of replacements from here on. I also choose several cav. reg. to scout deep into reb territory and to keep patrol against rebs. Virgina: Lee has joined Jackson at Petersburg...but no at...

Turn6 Comments: Virginia: Lee has escaped Richmond, I ended up being to slow to prevent his escape. At Petersburg, we had a major development. Stoneham's Cav Corps has landed there after cutting short his evasive scouting raid and taken weakly-held Petersburg, Jackson's Corp is now here also. We gai...

As the rebels, which I never play except in these tourneys, I plan to defend in depth. Burn, slash and delay the Union. I expect to retreat often. I build lots of militia and cheap 6,12lbrs. to aid in defending in depth, have the militia build up trenches and hold my rear areas against the US Cavalr...

I saw the weather was only good for marching in the regions between Petersburg and Norfolk so I did end up warping Reynolds, who was with Hooker, to Suffolk. I did get attacked there. The 100 hits cost me more men than the actual battle, but I figure Reynolds did well to survive Jackson's fresh corp...

Semi-Final Matchup

All, Cobra has conceded our match, Johnnycai vs. Cobra. I held a substantial advantage as Union after turn10. A couple of devastating battles for Cobra's CSA forces had left my Union forces within grasp of a victory by morale points. :) JDT has also advanced on our side of the bracket. Next round ma...

Turn3 Sherman takes Pulaski depot with a forced march from Humboldt! Interesting battle at Decaturville, Dodge calls for reinforcement and in the process, a smallish Union victory that costs Polk 1,000 due to 40hits during retreat. Polk retreats back to the main force just north of Corinth. [ATTACH]...

I've held all of western TN and MS since early 1863 to be sure. Corinth too, but I don't know about a depot. I'll have to check with the game open. Well, in fact Grant is sitting on top of a depot which is also a railhead, so they are not that far from depots. 2 regions at most. Yes, I can see the ...

Try shuttling more supply wagons to your troops until your forward depots can accumulate more supply thru your supply routes. See about using transports in the rivers near Columbus/Cuthbert and to those towns north of Montgomery (Tal...ney?). Some of the troops may need to stay back and not all can ...

It was an amphib attack based on the battle screen shot, those landing are either successful or extremely devastating to the attacker if not successful.

Looks like your battle was in the devastation category.

This is my take on the forum posters speaking positively/negatively of the use of militia spamming.
