Pocus, maybe just me but please...no! :) The logistic is very important for a strategic game, you made a detailed combat system but a simple supply system, why? I already found that keep the units in supply is not difficult. I really hope you are not thinking something similar to AJE (I don't like ...

Hey Yellow Ribbon, can you do those of us who chose the silver, blue, and white forum look a break and pick another font color aside from yellow for emphasis? That's impossible to read on a white background without highlighting.

Two things, one on each side: Caesar's "luck" - Undoubtedly, he was rather lucky sometimes, but in general, people make their own luck. Not always true (The order confusion at Chickamauga that led to the Confederate win for example), but more often than not. And Caesar was a master at moving fast an...

What is the problem with passive posture? It's the only way to get boni from the landscape, isn't it? Wouldn't it be always best to use it, if possible? And the problem is: It always goes this way. If I loose, my army gets smashed. It seldom retreats, mostly it is attacked again and again, until it...

Actually, the entrenchments were fairly good. The issues were the lack of men to place in them and the placement that was required by the terrain in locations. It's not the best area to try and fortify since it's very broken up. With what he had to work with, they were done quite well. Magruder was ...

Didn't mention whether vs the AI or a Human, but based on your sig I'd guess the latter. :) For grand strategy, I actually think exactly the opposite of Longshanks. Yeah, the big serious targets aren't out west, but when it comes down to force utilization, you get a LOT more bang for your buck with ...

About the blooy battles, it does raise the question, not new in this game, of the cohesion level of the different units. I always thought that there should be, a bit like for entrenchments, a cohesion curve with hard caps (except for maybe a few Elite units, where the Elite attribute adds +10 or so...

Yes, they will detract from the Union supplies and money, but don't give them to you. Generally not really worth the effort since the Union has plenty of both usually. Though it can be effective if you force the Union to spend resources on ships to hunt your raiders down instead of land forces.

If I industrialize as the South, (I generally do, I have bad luck with blockade runners) I generally pick one state and do a heavy industrialization. I used to use him as a small army commander. I usually played with highly randomized generals, but he'd still usually be one of the best. Definitely wouldn't recommend that method if you have any doubt about the outcome of the main battle, and considering some of the battles my generals have managed to lose when I had huge odds in my favor, that would mean almost never. :D Best case, you take it and get organized next turn, but the wo...

I understand that the developers want to give the CSA every possible break in this game, but this is getting ridiculous. £35. Thats more expensive than any other PC game other than COD Black Ops. If you believe your own quote here, you seriously need to look around a bit more. Most non-mass produced games are right around the 50USD price point, and some are much higher. Steel Beasts Pro = $130, Gary Grisgby's War in ...

I'm not sure it was a conscious decision, but it does make sense. You're moving up in command, and while the experience gained as a division commander is helpful, leading multiple divisions is a whole new kettle of fish. It would make sense to have to lose at least a portion of your experience gains...

Did you have sufficient rail capacity to move supplies up? Did you have supplies building up behind the lines and it wasn't moving up, or were there simply not enough supplies in the back to move up? Rail capacity should be at a premium by 64, so if you were moving forces by rail nearly at all, that...
