If you try to move the CSA fleet outside Fort Monroe, VA down the coast to one of the NC forts or, say, Wilmington, it calculates 3000-6000 days!!! This is not new to this beta. I'm still using the latest 1.15 due to some ongoing pbems and its the same way in that patch - if you want to travel alon...

Nice job on the AAR so far rattler.

enf, you can't combine the Texas Rangers like you can the regular militia units; they won't merge.

In the thread I linked above, I did post the saves, as I always did (prior to 1.15) when I encountered a problem. In this case the behavior could not be duplicated on Pocus' machine. So in subsequent cases (rare as already noted) I didn't bother to report. I also agree w/ Jim above; it's by no means...

Also take a look at post #5 in this thread to see where I had a (apparent) MTSG oddity that was never resolved. Could be related with the water transport issue you are seeing?

I've seen this happen on very rare occasion also; in a PBEM I once had Longstreet defending outside Richmond with level 8 entrenchments. He MTSG into an adjacent region and lost his entrenchments, even though he wound up back in the Richmond region. Needless to say this caused a bit of a panic as th...

It appears that what was mentioned in the early posts of this thread is still happening: I'm in a PBEM in March 1863 of the big campaign w/ KY and the current game version, and Longstreet's brigade has received an artillery unit instead of the infantry it should have gotten via auto-replacement. In ...

This happens sometimes in big battles with large losses and NM swings. Yes the message reporting the loss/gain is indeed incorrect. The NM points are awarded properly. There are several other posts detailing this, I think one was in the Soundoff/Banks AAR, and I posted an example as well. I'll see i...

I still believe the Seaman trait is broken as well. Here is Pocus' initial reply when I first reported this: About the cost reduction, it is impacted on each travel time between 2 regions, so if the cost is 1 or 2 days, a -25% cost can perhaps result, because of rounding, to the same value. And a co...

Number of Days to Enter (this region only)

I thought there used to be a tooltip when hovering over a region that gave you a message like this. Now I can't find it. Am I old, crazy (or both), or is it no longer there? I'm playing QF6 and whatever patch it was supposed to be installed over. Oh and BTW something is still weird with battle resul...

No real preference here, I usually click the thread then switch to another tab while it loads anyway. Keep up the good work, enjoying it. Very nicely done recap. I recently won my first pbem as the South by taking DC in a move very similar to yours. I then lost and retook it in the same turn to drop...

As far as the database is concerned (and even event syntax) the two terms are interchangeable. i.e. remplacements = replacements Remember AGEod is a foreign company and a few spellings are quirky... Doesn't matter in the end because it does NOT affect game play. Ah, I didn't realize replacement was...

There is a minor typo in the tooltip that appears in Early May 1861, the mailbox message says "First CSA Militias are Taking Up Arms" which is fine. But the mouseover tooltip says "Militias raided. Need remplacements." I've been playing for almost 2.5 years and never noticed so no big deal, just tho...

WB, if that is the case and it is WAD then it's fine with me... but again I have seen it stated in several places recently that it takes 4 supply elements to build a depot or a fort - in which case any supply elements should suffice... but apparently ships work for depots but not forts. And yes, I s...

Do I need to email Pocus or will you let him know or point him here?

Thanks for the reply WB but if true the docs for the current version are incorrect - it clearly states you can use naval transports or wagons as long as you have 4 supply elements. Scroll up a little in this thread and you can see where I compare the cost of ships vs. wagons. Not exactly inconsequen...

It looks like in the current version the Texas Rgr Bde will automatically receive its second missing element via replacement on the early June 1862 turn.

Not sure of the exact state of the "NoCapture" rule at this time, but I'm running 1.14 w/ QF2 in a pbem and here is a shot from last turn. Stuart assaulted with a cav division and wiped out the garrison, but did not capture the stand alone depot. I know there are a couple of more recent patches, but...

Yes Gray that change was another reason I finally decided to start building. But even at 4 elements if using wagons thats ~$40k (depending on inflation) 20CS and 20WS just for the supply elements. Thats a big chunk of resources for the CSA. Using river transports is ~50% cheaper but obviously you ca...
