Sounds like V.A.T.

As well as paying a hidden $ to Euro conversion cost which is in the 38Euro price you have to pay VAT on this as well which is an extra 20%.

Yes I know that Iain is very much in favour of the $ Dollar and the Matrix amalgamation/takeover thing. You just have to read the thread I posted above. Thats why I'm waiting on him jumping in here with his large size 12's boots to rubbish what I've written. So games are now valued in the Dollar pri...

Now on the prices variations, I got some explanations from Slitherine and it is darn complicated. Before, we calculated VAT by hand for a given currency used. Now, the system is automated : when you get to the secure page, the payment system (which is not handled by the shop, but by Plimus payment ...

Previously the price of Birth of Rome was £16.05, assuming you just forgot to add VAT and we now add it in that would mean a price of £19.26 so why are we now having to pay a base price of £17.99 and then adding the VAT for a total of £21.59 ? Thats pretty easy to answer. Matrix are forcing Ageod t...

Hmm ok so Elite and Black Bar Infantry (units with Nato Hvy Infantry icon) both have a range of 4.
Any ideas why? Assuming that they are equipped with the same weapons is it because they are trained to open fire at a longer range than other infantry?

The 1st DE have a weapons range of 4? Rest of the units shown have a range of 3?
Is this the difference between muskets and rifles, or something else? Just curious.

Mmh well I'm not sure? I'm not convinced that a complete list of battles should be visible. Yes a button could be built in but that sounds like a lot of work?
I'm pretty sure Ageod will find a good solution?

Brilliant suggestion from Hidde! I'd keep the outline he has posted. To save space on battles shown under Battle Honors maybe only show the First battle the unit ever fought, and its Last battle to date? To compensate maybe add number of battles fought? Major/Minor? Who knows, even Regimental nickna...

I have a problem with a picture I want to show here. I've managed to upload it to ImageShack but when I link to it it shows up with a white area all around it, 3-4 times the size of the actuall picture. I don't want to make a fool of myself and have such a thing displayed in this thread :bonk: Some...

some tweaks can be done yes, like grouping men by pack of 5. There is 2 block of texts, because the left one is about combat stats and the right one is about the rest, but you know, everybody has its idea about the best interface. Actually the original unit display and layout is fine by me so I wou...

Yep I agree with you, the beans are definitely what makes an ACW game or any other for that matter. If I see a Napoleonic game I definitely want to see Highlanders in kilts with proper Regimental numbers and affiliations. However its not the beans which are important in this game but the tin they ar...

Well this is a strategic level so I guess seeing down to Regimental level is a bonus to start with, I look on it that we are lucky to get a Regimental feel to the game so that we care about individual units. However the Brigade is the main unit in the game. I agree that historically losses of whole ...

Hi Ian, No you're not being pickey. As Pocus stated above, currently some aspects of the unit screen are still to be completed but we can look forward to having the number of men explicitly detailed. Still think that spacing the hearts is a better visual idea. xx xx xx x can quickly be seen as 350 ...

Each heart represents 50 men, so at the start of the campaign the Regiment is at full strength. This will change prior to battle if the Brigade's supply lines are cut and it's supplies on hand are used up. Is it possible to space the hearts so its more obvious what the totals...
