For what its worth, Winder was in command of "Jackson's Division" for longer than just the Battle of Cedar mountain. Here's the order of battle for the entire "Seven Days" battles June 25th 1862 - July 1st 1862: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Days_Confederate_order_of_battle Granted, it was a mo...

Military Leadership

Will Vainglory of Nations allow the player to assign different historical generals and admirals to their armies and fleets? If so, will we be able to debate the various skills and qualities? I enjoyed this process during the development of ACW. (Maybe this is just not in the works....1850 - 1920 is ...

Van Dorn (CSA) and Sickles (USA) are the only generals that can be "killed off" by a scripted event. Just to clarify, this is not certain (only a % chance)....so it may happen, it may not. (Historically, Van Dorn was murdered by a jealous husband. Sickles was involved in enough shady situations wher...

A variable amount of turns would be great...... For instance a concussion might result in the general being available the next turn (Think Heth at Gettysburg). Amputations and other severe injuries could result in anything from a couple of turns to 6-9 months (Think Ewell after 2nd Bull Run Campaign).

This is a problem....I've been meaning to post about this myself. Currently, I'm pretty sure the only way for a unit to gain experience is if it fully eliminates another unit during a battle (of course all of this is calculated behind the scenes during the battle resolution) I'm pretty sure the "Tra...

After thinking about this a bit more, there is a bit of an issue..... What happens in the scenarios other than the 1861 "start from scratch" setup? For instance, lets say you're playing the March 1863 scenario, and you recruit a new Alabama brigade in the first turn. You wouldn't want it to be calle...

I am wondering about Confederate brigades. Would it be a good idea to add some named brigades for the first few units in the Unit files? For example, Georgia would have... Archer's Bde. Barton's Bde. Benning's Bde. Colquitt's Bde. Lawton's Bde. etc... Then continue on with numbered Brigades... 1st ...
