I'm having a problem with the LocalStrings_WIA.csv file. That's where my error is coming from. I'm unfamiliar with the code, and I don't really know what is needed for it to work properly. Everything else works fine. I'm able to get units into the game, just not with the proper names.

Yeah, I always miss that, too. All the unit names unit shortnames, etc are in LocalStrings_WIA.csv [in Settngs]... just add another line for each of yours [no $ at front of string] [good news, you can load that file into excel or open office, make changes, and save as csv. Just be sure your save is...

I've got it 95% figured out. All I need is to know how to get the unit short name to show up. The officer appears in game and works correctly, but his name does not appear. It only says Unit_Short_name.

Unused Generals?

Are there unit files in the works for:

Enoch Poor
William Washington
Marinus Willett
Otho Williams
William Woodford
William Crawford

Just wondering. I see graphics and model files for them, but no unit file.

Got it all figured out! Lowering that percentage will reduce militia losses. I also figured out that I messed up some of the code, and that's why my entire army was going home. (While trying to lower the percentage I accidentally made it 90%)

Thanks for the help!

I changed all the last numbers in the event file to 0 and then went into the 75AutoRaise.inc file and changed all the last numbers to 0. I went into the game, and turned back the turn to 12/02/1777, proceeded to 01/01/1778, and still had most of my army disband. What am I missing? Do I need to start...

3 Questions!

I have a question about units disbanding. I was playing around with the ame to make it less likely to loose units so that I could create historically accurate divisions with the correct commander. I opened the 1775 .scn file and changed this line (in bold): The USA is the nation formed by the 13 reb...

I've also been noticing large amounts of attrition. Small units are almost completely decimated or destroyed on small marches.

These games are $50.00 each? I'll get them if they are worth it. What's your opinion? Also, look into a game called "For Liberty" http://www.matrixgames.com/games/game.asp?gid=336 It should be straight up your alley. American Conquest series of games are also good for this time period. (Birth of Ame...

I'm a poor researcher at best... :o Any data on the organization of these units? How many companies? Men per company? Grenadiers? Light Infantry? ... and what did the British regiments look like by 1812? Same as used in Napoleonic campaigns? Thanks ahead of time! :king: They should look like those ...

Will the Oneida and Tuscarora Tribes (As well as Some Creeks) be allied with the Americans in the new game? They were in reality allied with the Continentals, however in the first BOA they are allied with the British.

Oneida Warriors fought with General Herkimer at Oriskan.
