Gamelogic File

I am trying to fiddle around a bit with unit and leader experience gain, as well as command points. I have found entries for these values in the GameLogic file, but I am not sure if the game is picking them up. Can someone tell me if the game in fact reads these values, if they are cached somewhere,...

Thanks OC! Perhaps the text for the Sharpshooter ability tooltip ought to be changed from "unit" to "stack." Right now it says unit. If that's the case, my next question would be whether or not a sharpshooter inside a division or merged with a general in a stack conveys this bonus as well, or wheth...

Thanks Jim. That helps a lot. By that logic then, it is advantageous to both rotate new brigades through "Training Officers" to ensure conversion to regular infantry and then build and use as many HQ units with "Training Master" as possible.

Training Master vs. Training Officer and Relation of Experience to Unit Upgrades

Can anyone shed some light on the differences between the training master and the training officer and how unit experience points are translated either into upgrades or combat effectiveness? Here's what I've figured out so far: Leaders (McClellan, Rufus King, Halleck, Sigel) can have the "Training O...

Just in general, I really wish there were things that could be built via decision to increase money - I get not being able to build manpower, but being able to invest in some sort of money-generating structure would be great. Perhaps spend manpower and WSU to create?

This anecdote is really indicative of what I think Confederate (I can't speak to Union) Athena's greatest weakness is - she plays for the VP win vs. the NM win. All her raiding, her ill-advised attacks, her fragmented stacks, etc., seem to clearly indicate a myopic focus on VP, which in turn means a...

Your match is making me feel significantly better about mine with Mickey3D. Mickey, playing CSA is similarly adopting a stubborn defensive and has wiped out several large army stacks due to bad decisions on my part. I know this is a quibble, but on a separate note, the city Falmouth is on the wrong side of the peninsula. It should be facing the Rappahannock rather than the Potomac. The Potomac side is Aquia Harbor. Then again, Faquier VA is technically Prince William... As a resident of Prince William, this has...

If I see this correctly, everyone advances through the round robin? Usually in tournaments, top two advance from the groups of 4? Ace, the image you displayed looks to me like a single elimination tournament bracket, since the field narrows to 8 after the first round, then 4 after the second and so...

I would suggest doing two parallel tourneys, one for the smaller scenarios and one for the campaigns. The campaigns emphasize far more resource management and grand strategy than the scenarios, which tend to emphasize operational level movement. I would do the following in such a notional scenario t...

The answer to your last two questions is what I advised in my previous post - use the supply map-mode. Green indicates that a particular region is in supply, while red indicates that it is not.
