There was no light infantry in the Civil War. A few units still had light infantry in their name but they were the same as any other infantry unit.

Is there any way with this change also to make alteration for bigger CSA divisions. Keeping in line with historicly CSA divisions tended to be bigger than US one? Perhapse around 22 24 elements. Not a big issue just thot i'd bring it up while changes are being made. Kind regards, Rasmus Divisions a...

10 to 1 is what was the ratio in Vietnam for the US, but I don't have hard facts to back my words (remembering that from previous reading). I would expect that in the ACW this ratio is a lot lot lower. By 10 to 1 I mean ten combat troops for every one support troop. In Vietnam and in modern high te...

The ratio of teeth to tail (soldier to support) is a lot lower (something like 3:1)

I don't know where you got 3:1. 10:1 is more like it.

In general, I'd like to see most other generals who come in higher ranking come in early at their * rank...and then have to "earn their spurs" as it were. Beside Grant, Rosecrans comes to mind here (start him as a * in late '61 in West Virginia). Buell could start the game as a * locked in Californ...

Soccercw, Yes, the Mad Minute game also shows the style of fighting, all based on close knit lines. But still, I can't help but think to myself, when I see two lines facing each other at close range, doing volley fire, that if one of the lines were to drop to the ground and fire from there, they'd ...

You know, I did enjoy the movie Glory. One of the things that surprized me in it was to see the fighting style of the Civil War. They could be built by region like ships and they cost way too much and take much too long to build. At most a division HQ would have a few wagons. There's no need for a high war supplies cost or manpower cost.

Grant did command an army in early 1862. I don't see a problem with him commanding the AoP but the North does need to take a morale hit for dismissing McClellan

Select the Army HQ and use synchronized movement then go back and select the corps you want to stay and delete the move. You could remove the corps from the army but it would then lose any bonuses given by the army commander.
