I have repeatedly seen that when AI enters a city due to exhaustion, the army stays in there for many many months.

It is therefore very easy to besiege the city, and without any loss starve a huge army to death.

I am working on a MOD using what the devs have opened to us to tackle more or less this issue, albeit from a different perspective. I think we can tweak a bit the metrics to reach something slightly different from the current situation, going towards the possibility of more decisive engagements, wh...

I love many aspects of this game. The details and that it takes place in the ancient world.

But I think it is problem that battles are not very decisive, it is all too easy to rebuild an army.

New units do not cost very much, reinforcements are cheap and you have plenty of money.

Cost of reinforcement

Is it possible to change the price of new units and the cost of reinforcement?

I think it's too cheap.

It's too easy to rebuild an army after a lost battle.

I agree + a prorogation if there is still an ennemy force in Italy but in the end a disbandement is necessary.

Sounds like a really good idea

Dictators

I have a small question to this amazing game. How many times can the Romans appoint a dictator, and get four new legions (Roman, Socii)? I currently play the first Punic War, and has now four times appointed a new dictator. I can do it because there is a small Volsinii army in Italy. A total of 16 n...

I've noticed the same thing. It's a little strange. Is it on purpose or a bug?

Attach leaders

You cannot attach leaders to units, when playing many non-Roman factions (like Epirus). Is it a bug?

I tend to disagree. While a quick read at history shows mostly decisive battles, a closer look at antique conflicts shows a lot of lower-intensity encounters and skirmishes, for which we generally don't have much information. Anyway, I there is a whole section called "CONTROL & RETREAT" in the magi...

Decisive battle.

I do not think that the battles in AJE / BOR is decisive enough.

The ends very quickly with one side withdraws (Play against the AI).

I think that battle in antiquity were much more decisive.

( PS: Is it possible to mod the retreat factors?)

I agree with Bommer. I really like the game, but AI ruins part of the pleasure. Ancient armies usually used concentration of force during campaigns, not small raider-sized units moving, fighting, and besieging all over the place.
