Re: Massive increase on turn 3 for the CSA

Looks like this is a local glitch as seemed likely given no-one else was reporting the issue. We'll restart with a cleaned up version (re-install?) and see how it goes.

PS Modded local files were the problem so apologies for raising this unnecessarily here.

Massive increase on turn 3 for the CSA

It a while since my last game and previously I tended to play more Union than CSA so my memory of the latter is hazier, nevertheless I don't recall getting a massive increase in war supplies, income and conscripts on turn 3. It was the war supplies that initially drew my eye as I do recall the CSA a...

This was a battle on the continent - not in Britain including Ireland where home units could have participated. There was no British expeditionary battle that fielded a non-allied force this huge.

Fantasy figures for the British

Fantasy figures as shown by these ridiculous battle totals against Napoleon's Grand army in 1806 These numbers would be equally absurd for Britain at any other point in the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars.

It only does show your moves or the enemy in contact. To see the others you would have to play their replay files which I regard as out of bounds. To be honest I rarely use it but from Civil War 2 experience it is handy to check move sequences at times - especially if you have several forces engaged...

First make sure players have switched on Save Replay in Options and the host in pbem needs to ensure that players are sent or can access the replay file for their respective country along with the Ord file that is produced. Then follow this sequence. 1. Press the key that brings up the console. Refe...

Its interesting that the supply position of my French units have much improved even though I'm still across the Rhine. Admittedly all my forces are now much closer to France and a couple of allied supply depots (with minimal amounts of supply listed) have been recaptured. Checking the french cities ...

Having just taken over a losing France, I have become aware of this fundamental problem. If France can't supply her forces effectively abroad it rather negates the logic of (offensive) wars of Napoleon. As for a solution when I read the thread earlier today I think someone described the obvious one....

Likewise that was the case with my first force when it moved out and no doubt the same will apply to the second. Its the mystery of it disappearing whilst there. One can argue its the enemy that's mainly disadvantaged by such a hidden force as the owning player and the ally will know its present. Su...

Force disappearing from view

A couple of times now I have experienced a force disappear on its arrival at an allied captal. The message logs reports its arrival but the force isn't shown when that location is checked. Its not mentioned on the information for the allied units present and although its divisions are shown there on...

Apologies gents I messed up You are spot on Captain, I had forgotten to turn save back on when I reinstalled WON for the beta. Can't get replay to work

Alt and Tab doesn't get me the console so I bring it up the old way using the Tilde key. Typing in loadreplay and copy of the file name then pressing enter - turns the game screen a blank beige. Pressing the space key or enter returns the screen to the game view ie no replay. Typing in just loadrepl...

How about getting Ctrl button working if you can't solve the obscuring problem?

I'm patched up and using the beta but still have the problem that in the majority of cases I can't see the men total when mousing over the pwr icon because the sub-unit box is overlapping and obscuring it. So a question from an ally of how many troops are being contributed suddenly becomes a complic...

I'd like to see a message box to allow direct in game communication to a player in a pbem game. Email or PMs are available I know but this would be neat and immediate as it would ...
