Ernst Junger, a battle hardened veteran's account of the First World War and Erich Maria Remarque a reserve soldier, who din't face much action in WW1 are both presenting actions from the German Side but entirely diametric points of views. Junger is a dare-devil soldier of the classic Imperial Germ...
They did say that Russian NM would determine when they start to have political turmoil so if the Entente is played by a single player the NM would have to be separate in some way. Not really sure how it will work but I guess we will soon see. As Altaris said there are three factions, CP, Western En...
Concerning the battle of Verdun I can recommend "The Price of Glory" by Alistair Horne. In addition to showing the battle in great detail, he highlights the lack of coordination between the CPs caused by personal spite.

When playing the CP in WWI Gold I this was something I always tried to achieve. Although I tried to use "Diplomatic Poker" (Germany avoids declaring war and loses the pre-turn) predominately. I wonder if this mechanism will be modelled as well.
As the sign behind the large handwheel seems to read "Schnellentlüftungen schließen", I think it is a german or a/h submarine. (Schnellentlüftung = used for quick flooding)
I would like to, but it seems I presently do not have enough posts to be allowed to send pm´s. Could I find a contact adress in your blog? Otherwise I might just set up a new address and post it here.
