Wars of Great Britain By chance, the Austrian foreign ministry found out that Great Britain appears to be at war with both Greece and Persia [OOC: events I missed in my absence?]. As the circumstances and causes of these conflicts are unknown to us, we hope that Great Britain can enlighten the caus...

OOC: If this is Austrian propaganda, no problem, but in fact the ultimatum was Austrian. No British ultimatum was given. The left cards were Austrian and the right were British. The harshest card played by the British was a Warning which both parties gave at the end. Ha, I was convinced that I didn...

Wiener Zeitung, early June 1853 UNILATERAL BRITISH CLAIM SPARKS DIPLOMATIC CRISIS IN BORNEO The Austrian government is unpleasantly surprised at Great Britain's sudden claim of protectorate status over Kuching and associated lands in northern Borneo. The Austrian foreign ministry was given no prior...

Would anybody know the string used to add claims? As it is now, national objectives don't give claims on objective regions, as should be the case. I think adding the claims would be a more elegant solution than simply forcing annexation through script in cases where nations seek to acquire their nat...

I think that's the right way to handle this. btw, maybe we should re-institute the dropbox voting system from the old game for issues like this, or Chinese colonial options or whatever? I'd give people a week to object to a proposal, and only when there is more than one objection have a vote. I rem...

I personally have no problem scripting an end to Austria's seizing of an innocent little country and forcing them into the Austrian empire. :-) What is the warscore? Maybe it needs to be higher. I prefer to see it as a liberation... Indeed guideline no. 13315450-A/d for the bureaucrats of the Austr...

Question: according to patch v. 102's change log, you should be able to claim your nation's 'objective regions' in peace treaties, but this seems to be broken. I.e. no claimable region shows up when trying to make peace with Wallachia as Austria, even though Wallachia is part of the Austrian objecti...

Grabbed this from the diplo thread. Not sure if the OE has a defense alliance with Wallachia or not, but if the OE gets involved in a war it would be good for a human to temporarily take it over. One, just for the sake of balance, but also to have a human involved in the peace negotiations. The las...

Anyway, I don't want to derail all of this with my arguments. However, in the interest of the game, I don't believe that it is completely fair to start stripping the Ottomans without having an Ottoman player to respond. It takes away one of the more volatile dynamics in Europe. OOC: Agreed on both ...

France feels that the Prussian sentiment towards the wilds of Africa and Asia would be better suited for about a century and a score of years beyond the current time. The Prussian emissary shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the issue at hand. Our argument is not that borders cannot change, but that the grounds for this declaration are not built upon anything solid. Austria has no more claim to Wallachia than France does to Saarbruecken or Catalunya. Th...
