Since they're costly to build in time and resources, I recommend building them where the Whites are likely to attack sometime in early 1919. Kazan or one of the other major cities in the vicinity, to the north of the Ukraine, and Leningrad or Novgorod.

You really don't get what the strategy should be until you've played it through as either side at least once. There are so many events, you need to know what each of them does and when they happen.

I sometimes see this for any faction I play. I think it might just be too few in number, for it to be visible on the display without opening individual regiments.

As far as I understand it, only medium and heavy artillery requires ammunition. Light artillery and infantry/cavalry require no ammunition to function.
Is this correct?
(I just noticed the 0 ammunition requirement on some arty-less stacks and wondered if I had a display bug or something.)
